Do as I say, Not as I do. Protecting Corruption Within

In recent developments, social media posts, and social media pictures, it appears ranking officials within Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement are above the law.  It appears some ranking Law Enforcement personnel approve laws to be violated and ranking Law Enforcement personnel are breaking the law with no consequences.  Here we go with the double standard mentality of, do as I say, not as I do.  Federal leased/Tribally owned property is being converted to personal use.  Government property is being used for travel however, unauthorized persons are in the vehicle during the travel and the government property is being converted to personal property on various occasions.

Rosebud Tribal Law Enforcement are the highest paid employees of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe as they Rosebud Law Enforcement wage scale is equal to the Bureau of Indian Affairs wage scale.  So ranking Law Enforcement personnel based on position and years of experience salaries are anywhere from $75,000 to $90,000 plus annually.  With a salary in that range, receiving a lump sum premium pay, why are we converting government property (vehicles) for personal use?  Why not use your own personal vehicle rather than government property at taxpayers expense?

I ask the public, Tribal Attorney General, Lead Tribal Prosecutor, The United States Attorney's Office of Rapid City, and the FBI to read 18 United State Code (USC) 641 and 5 CFR 2635.704.

I encourage the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Chief Administrator to read the Federal Statue and Federal CFR as it appears he gave a free pass for his subordinates to violate the Law.  The level of hypocrisy and arrogance behind this shows it's okay for Law Enforcement to violate the law but demands the law be enforced on Tribal Members.  I ask the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Attorney General and Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Chief Administrator to please provide the Tribal Membership with the Federal Law that grants them immunity from violating the law.  Please publish this law that states you and your staff are above the law and the statues that covers the double standard.

The Tribal Membership will come to you to sign out a government vehicle for the Tribal Members personal use for a period of time since you condone your personnel misuse government property.  In the Public Law 93-638 Law Enforcement Contract it details some very clear legal language.  This language states, IF AN OFFICER FAILS TO REPORT MISCONDUCT, IT MAY BE DEEMED MISCONDUCT ITSELF.  Read your P.L. 93-638 contract instead of flying by the seat of your pants and winging it.

The only way for Tribal Members in hopes, get a silver of equal treatment at this point is to call the Tribal President, call the Council Representatives, and call everyone.  The irony behind this is, the same ranking Law Enforcement personnel who are violating Federal and Tribal Law are giving directives to lower ranking Law Enforcement personnel.  The directives are, arrest Tribal Members, place unconstitutional bonds on these Tribal Members but ignore the fact us ranking Law Enforcement personnel are violating the law.

If the Tribal President fails to handle this issue like Law Enforcement would handle it if it was a Tribal Member violating the law, bring into question the Tribal President's integrity.  Will the Tribal President cover this matter up further stamping the warp speed corruption that exists to present day.  Will the Tribal President uphold the double standard against us Tribal Members.  Remember under the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Constitution and By-Laws Article I - Duties of Officers, President, the Tribal President supervises all Tribal employees.

What has been happening nationally with Law Enforcement personnel being held accountable shows no one is above the law.  Let's see if the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Administration has received the message yet.

Let's wait and see of the corruption and double standard continues.

Respectfully

Hawkeye Waln
